APPLICATIONS  ENGINEER

BUILDING CONTROLS & SERVICES, INC. with corporate headquarters in Tonawanda, NY, is a full service Energy Services Company and Control Systems Integrator specializing in:

 

· Direct digital controls and service

· Performance contracting

· Industrial and process control systems

· Energy monitoring and auditing

· HVAC systems’ maintenance and installation

· Building commissioning

· Data networking

· Web-enabled utility monitoring

· Development of facility energy conservation master plans for:

Municipal, Educational, Government agencies, Industrial, Healthcare, and Commercial clients

 

 

OVERVIEW

 

· Responsible to produce and document superior control system designs for any type of control system. 

· Perform in-office testing and obtain approval for all developed software design to meet or exceed job specifications prior to release to the field. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· Develop overall strategy plan for each project based on scope, owner demands, schedules, controllers and other required functions. Outline and estimate major tasks, monitor progress, inform others of variances, meet and/or exceed commitments.

· Develop applications and drawings for all supported controllers using current tools.

· Work with computers, software packages, and direct digital controls.

· Document design procedures used in developing company application standards.

ADDITIONAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS  

 

· Minimum 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering  or equivalent experience 

· 4+ years of field experience working with various types of systems

· Above average to expert knowledge of Windows.

· Above average knowledge of HVAC systems.

 

 

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS

 

· Ability to grow into a supervisory position with respect to other Application Engineers.
