Account Executive

This Account Executive works with energy customers to negotiate energy deals that benefit both TXU
Energy and the customer.

• Meets or exceeds company sales and customer service objectives including:
margin/cost benefit, prospecting, call reports, accurate data recording and training
• Uses a variety of techniques, including company lead lists and geographic
prospecting, to identify potential medium-sized business energy customers
• Works with energy customers to negotiate energy deals that benefit both TXU
Energy and the customer
• Adheres to ethical standards contained in the TXU Energy Code of Conduct while
servicing customers
• Continuously works with management to refine sales strategy to optimize
efficiency and results
• Analyzes customer historical energy usage to develop deal proposals
• Delivers proposals and presentations outlining customer needs and deals
• Maintains accurate and timely customer information with sales operations and
middle office groups
• Works with organizations throughout TXU Energy to ensure customer accounts
are handled efficiently and accurately & customer issues are resolved in a timely
manner
• Remains current on competitive intelligence and energy industry trends
• Assists other account managers in closing deals or servicing customers as
needed
• Closes deregulated energy transactions with assigned customers
• Ensures an accurate & timely process for maintaining customer contract
information & pricing transactions

• Ability to articulate and TXU Value proposition

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business, economics or related field preferred
• 3-5 years of job related experience
• 1-2 years experience selling energy products or services, preferred
• Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, persuasion and negotiating skills
• Strong skill in selling energy products and services
• Strong working knowledge of Siebel Software
• Strong understanding of energy pricing, rates, and, related structures
• Knowledge of the Texas energy market structure preferred
• Risk management product knowledge preferred
• Basic financial skills – budgeting, accounting, payback/project financing
• Skill in using a variety of techniques and methods to assess customer needs
and close deals
• Thorough understanding of TXU contracts, pricing, service and business models
• Ability to negotiate credit & contract provisions with customers
