This Position is the FLEET ACCREDITATION SPECIALIST position. Establishes fleet standards for maintaining training program accreditation and assists the Sr. Manager, Training & Accreditation, and the Director, Training & Development in governing the sites to these standards and expectations. This includes but is not limited to the following:

 Defining the frequency, scope and content of Training self-assessmentsDefining the team composition of training self-assessment teamsCoordinating the fleet training self assessment program to ensure that each site supports the fleet as necessary to achieve the highest possible level of training performance and readinessDefining the process the sites will use to develop and write their Accreditation Self Evaluation Reports every 2 years. This may include some support of the actual writing of the ASER when plant performance declines and the sites need assistance. Reviewing training performance improvement plans and making recommendations to the Training Managers and Director of when an improvement plan should be implemented based on performanceReviewing training self-assessments to ensure that all observations that meet the Training Condition Reporting Threshold have been entered into PCRS. Where they have not, then the sites are responsible for writing the CRs. Reviewing Training Department performance data to ensure that long-term negative trends are identified and correctedMethods for preparing site leadership teams for their appearances at the NANT Board

 

Required Qualifications:

Outstanding written communications skills, and the ability to review and edit written products performed by others. At least 7 years prior commercial nuclear training experience as an instructor, program coordinator, or supervisor (Masters Degree in Education my replace this job requirement). In-depth understanding of the accreditation process. Proven ability to present dynamic training in a variety of settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Must have the skills and knowledge to administer accredited and non-accredited training programs. Proven experience leading training assessments and writing assessment reports including Accreditation Self-Evaluation Reports.

 

Desired Qualifications:

Established relationship with INPO. Participation in at least 4 program accreditation renewal cycles. 10+ years nuclear industry experience. BS in science, engineering, or education with prior experience in operations, maintenance, engineering, or technical services (or equivalent) at a commercial nuclear power plant. Ability to quickly learn new computer skills and software applications.
