In addition to a starting wage of $19.91 per hour, increasing to $24.58 after one year, we offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), pension, vacation and more.Job Responsibilities:Our Apprentice Line Mechanics observe and perform routine manual functions involving heavy lifting associated with the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of our Overhead, Transmission and Distribution Systems and associated equipment. As experience is gained, you will be performing increasingly skilled work assisting our professional line mechanics.Qualifications: Graduation from a line mechanic training program is desirable. Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including all weather conditions, at elevated heights (above 30 feet) and in confined spaces. Ability and willingness to work around hazardous/heavy equipment and energized electrical equipment. Ability and willingness to wear and use safety equipment as required by Company safety rules and federal, state and local regulations. Ability and willingness to travel to various Company locations and remote job sites. Ability and willingness to work different schedules, on holidays and weekends and overtime as required. Must possess or be able to possess a CDL and a CDL medical card within six months of hire. Must successfully pass a written aptitude test and physical strength test. Must successfully pass a background check including a criminal history records check.
