BWR Core Design Engineer

Westinghouse Electric Company Nuclear Fuel is seeking a BWR Core Design Engineer at our headquarters in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.The BWR Core Design Engineer will aid in designing fuel bundles and loading patterns that meet the restrictions and limitations placed upon the nuclear design by the plant-specific and cycle-specific safety and operational requirements.Candidates will also be responsible for assisting with the research and methods development of advanced concept Boiling Water Reactor fuel bundles to be utilized in commercial BWR nuclear reactors via power distribution, plant operation requirements and license limits.A successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:- Bachelors degree in Nuclear Engineering (minimum requirement; Master's preferred);- 0 to 3 years of experience in BWR Core Design.- Slow Transient analysis and knowledge of BWR Core Monitoring Systems. - Knowledge of BWR nuclear design codes including lattice codes, 3D nodal neutronic codes, power distribution search codes and 3D thermal hydraulic codes including PHOENIX, CoreLink, and POLCA7 are a plus.
