About the Opportunity
Knowledge of/Exposure to Bently systems is a necessary.
Provide customer with technical direction for commissioning of Bently Nevada vibration monitoring equipment.
Sign off on all changes implemented.
Complete standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements.
Monitor site safety during project.
Job Description:
Field Engineer to provide on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants. OEM training provides the technical skills for the engineer to operate confidently and independently for Granite International. Training is conducted at one of the GE Energy Learning Center facilities . After the formal classroom training, on the job training will commence depending on the specific individuals knowledge and experience.
Job assignments can be either domestic or international, providing turbine related services (installation, maintenance or retrofit) to utility, industrial, transportation, government and commercial customers. This is a results oriented position. The job will involve extensive travel, long hours and shift work.
Requirements:
This position requires: gas turbine experience. instrumentation/controls experience/ Exposure. Strong interpersonal skills, technical competence, leadership ability, computer skills and willingness to travel are necessary to become a capable field engineer. Successful completion of training program is a minimum requirement.
Contract Details:
• Competitive salary/hourly rate – billable-hour yearly requirement with a guaranteed base salary. Hourly rate applies only for hours worked in excess of contracted hours.
• No relocation is required or offered. You may continue to reside where you live as long as you live near an airport with jet service.
• While on-site, living costs are covered by either per diem or expensed receipts depending on the job.

Job assignments can be either Domestic or International. Extensive travel, weekend work, and shift work will be necessary. Requirements: technical competence, 'hands-on' experience with industrial turbine/generators, results oriented, leadership ability, willingness to travel, and flexibility.
