Chevron Project Resources Company (PRC) is accepting online applications for the position of Business Manager-Domestic Gas Supply Project located in Houston, Texas. The Business Manager position is a critical member in the project leadership team reporting to the Project Manager of Nigeria’s Mid-Africa Business Unit’s Domestic Gas Supply Project. Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:•Responsible for developing and maintaining the project’s business systems - project procedures, project execution plans, contracting plans, material management plans, commercial agreements, project cost control procedures and activities, scheduling development and reporting. •The position is also responsible for the Finance, Business Planning, and Document Management functions on the project. •The position requires both domestic and international travel including travel during weekends and may involve relocation to international locations as project requirements change.•Supervises the project business staff (scheduling, cost control, contracting, procurement, finance & accounting, information management). •Continuously monitors business performance and gives advice on status and corrective action if necessary. Interacts frequently with Business Unit management on project performance and keeps abreast of changes in Business Unit objectives and market conditions. •Designs and implements control systems for project. Develops reporting methods and generates reports on regular basis. •Establishes guidelines and oversight for contracting and purchasing, including assembling, bidding, awarding and administering contracts. •Assures that company risk and assets are properly managed. •Develops credible and accurate project economics. •Some domestic and international travel will be required.Required Qualifications:•Must have successful Major Capital Projects (MCP) business management experience in cost management, planning, scheduling, interface to accounting, reporting, business planning, document control, contracting & procurement planning, GO-36 preparation, AFE's preparation, project procedures, PEP formulation, DRB coordination, economics and DA.•Demonstrated experience with implementing control systems for projects including MOC, planning and cost management. Develops reporting methods and generates reports on a regular basis.•Experience in managing multidiscipline business and project services teams on large major capital projects. Must be experienced in establishing team work plans, priorities, roles and responsibilities. Recognized as providing positive team environment where people want to come and work. Allows people to contribute their best and fosters learning and mentoring culture.•Experienced in contract administration of multiple high-value major capital contracts. Provides interface to procurement. Must have hands on experience of the full contracting cycle.•The successful candidate must have knowledge of Oil & Gas major capital project business services. •Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communications skills required. Must be able to coordinate input from multiple organizations. Must be flexible, goal oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to work independently.Preferred Qualifications:•Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering or Business.
