We have been retained by our client, in their search for a Business Systems Analyst (Business Intelligence Products), this is a full time permanent opportunity!  Located in Albany, NY. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

 

Responsibilities:

The Business Systems Analyst is primarily responsible for analyzing, developing and documenting business requirements and translating those requirements into IT solutions.Provide technical assistance to the Product Manager in the development of Business Cases to support product enhancements and longer term product planning efforts Create discovery documents, white papers, concept of operation documents, business requirements documents, use cases and presentation materials Meet with business owners, project sponsors and Market Participants to obtain information regarding the objectives of the customers as they relate to projects and the resolution of issues that can result in IT development tasks Work closely with Product Management and Project Management supporting the development of the product vision and project execution interface between the customer and the Project Team for the requirements phase of a project; and continue to act as the liaison for all other phases of the project, insuring that project deliverables meet the customer requirements and expectations Work closely with Legal, Training, Communications and Market Structures to assist in the development of materials and documentation required to support project development

Required Experience/Education:Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple activities in a complex technical environment are desired Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to act as a team leader are required to successfully collaborate with customers, staff, Business Owners, Senior Management, Committee Members and other stakeholders Excellent writing and presentation skills and knowledge of Product, Project and IT system development life cycle concepts Ability to understand emerging IT software and hardware architectures and technologies and the ability to apply those concepts to the requirements development process Experience with Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing/Data management and/or Business Objects preferred Knowledge of electric power systems or wholesale electric markets is desiredBachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Math, Computer Science (or related technical field), or relevant industry/professional work experience. Position may be filled at various levels depending on candidate qualifications such as experience and technical skills.
