Hours of Work:

Either 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday or

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Friday

Position Requirements:

Associate’s Degree in drafting utilizing AutoCAD.  Minimum of three (3) years experience in performing various designing, detailing, and drafting functions, preferably within a bulk material handling environment.



Duties:

Prepares detail, assembly, and arrangement drawings required to have parts/ equipment manufactured, assembled, erected, and maintained in accordance with department drafting standards.



Mechanical design/detailing will include all welding requirements, tolerances, material definition, machining, heat treating, stress relieving, and size definition. Electrical design/detailing will include preparation and arrangement drawings for PLC control panels, purchase specifications for electrical components such as wire, cable tray, and lighting equipment, in addition to performing the calculations to determine the size of lighting fixtures and electrical raceway/cables. Structural design/detailing will include the preparation of support arrangements, facility planning and weight take- off and center of gravity calculations.



Prepare detail layouts to determine the detailed dimensions and to check clearances.



Review the dimensional data on vendor information and make the necessary revisions to drawings.



Produce the mechanical/electrical/structural bill of erection parts.



Produce as-built drawings.



Work with other design/CADD personnel to promote standardization of drawing files.
