Reporting to the President, the CFO is the senior financial position, directing and managing the company's financial department. Must take an active role in strategic planning, financial analysis, policy development/deployment, problem resolution and financial communication to the Executive and Sr. Management teams with on-going financial analysis. We are on the cutting edge in our industry.Required Skills and Abilities: * 10 – 15 Years progressive Finance/Accounting experience, * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline. Advanced degree is a plus * 5 years experience in General accounting and costing in an energy or utility based company is a major plus. Strength in standard cost accounting is required * Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, modeling and analysis, cash flow management with a strong operational focus * Extensive project finance experience * Strong working knowledge of GAAP * Prefer strong working knowledge of financial/accounting systems * Ability to work in a dynamic and diverse work environment * Ability to utilize excellent analytical skills, critical thinking and creativity while collaborating with executive leadership to completely understand, agree upon and shape company objectives * Excellent communication skills and be able to interact professionally with all levels within the organization and with external customers. Ability to communicate with Senior, non-technical leadership as well as highly technical staff * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities * CPA is preferred * Any experience with alternative energy companies is a major plus **Prefer a local candidate but Relocation Assistance is available to an outstanding candidatePosition Overview: Reporting to the President, the CFO is the senior financial position and a key member of the executive committee. The CFO directs and manages the company's financial department functions. The CFO takes an active role in strategic planning, financial analysis, policy development/deployment, problem resolution and financial communication to the Executive and Sr. Management teams. The right candidate will have an outgoing personality, positive leadership skills and a passion for work.Roles and Responsibilities:* Determines and administers the execution and management of effective accounting policies and procedures for the company according to established corporate policies * Support Plant operations through financial analysis including: - Maintenance of the standard cost accounting system, including bills of material and variance reporting and analysis - Maintain and report fixed costs for manufacturing, warehousing and shipping, including variances from budgets - Inventory reporting and analysis - On-going financial analysis in support of capital project approvals and reviews. (e.g., capital justification, buy/lease, etc.) * Support the sales and marketing team including: - Margin Analysis with special attention to new programs and market development - Contribution Analysis by customers - Review and monitoring of Accounts Receivable with attention to those accounts which become slow paying and questionable * Champion the Development of annual budgets: - Determine and monitor the timetable for the effective preparations of the annual budget, including follow-up and support for each input - Prepare the budget for all salaries and wage fixed budgets, including the benefits related thereto - Review all inputs to the budget for reasonableness and consistency with strategic direction and prior year actuals * Establishes or recommends to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives and policies. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting financial investments and plans * Provides management with reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities * Establish financial reporting systems and controls to ensure accurate measurement of financial results and ensure sound internal controls * Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities. Assists in preparing annual information needed to maintain adequate insurance coverage * Arranges for annual reviews of company's accounts. Oversee external audit planning and interface with the auditors as needed * Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies * Establishes relations with banks and other financial institutions.
