Inc. is accepting online applications for the position of Completions Engineer on our Completion Sanding Solutions Team located in Houston, Texas.The Completions Engineer on the Completion Sanding Solutions Team will be responsible for providing technical support to Chevron operating companies worldwide in sand control/sand management for well completions. Qualifications:Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Responsible for delivery of Sand Control/Sand Management design specifications to Chevron’s Global Assets. • Appropriate sand control method identification and selection (i.e, oriented perforating, stand alone screens including expandable sand, open or cased hole gravel or frac packs).• Sand control equipment design including quality assurance/quality control of downhole equipment.• Open hole and cased hole gravel /frac packing design. Design and testing of drill-in fluids, cased hole and open hole clean-up preparation and stimulation procedures as appropriate. • Perforation design and selection for cased hole sand control methods.• Deepwater high pressure/high temperature sand control applications.Responsible for Sand Control/Sand Management job execution and monitoring.• Well site supervision of sand control installation. This includes execution of all stages of the sand control completion: open hole and casing clean-up/preparation, perforating, equipment preparation and running, pumping/fracturing operations, stimulation/clean-up, rock mechanics application.• Sand control productivity and reliability performance predictions.Responsible for the development and/or execution of Sand Control/Sand Management Research and Development.• Develops sand control/sand management products/services internally or through leveraged agreements with outside parties.• Works with Wells System Focus management to develop and mature enabling or emerging technologies in support of Strategic Business Unit (SBU) business plans.Assist in the development, maintenance and renewal of skills and capabilities within the team and operation company teams.• Mentor summer interns, new hires, and transfers into the Sand Solutions Team.Responsible for personal governance related to Health, Environment, and Safety (HES), time allocation, and performance management and career development. • Insure alignment with corporate safety plan, travel plan, and maintain a personal healthy and safe lifestyle.• Participate in the performance management and career development process.Required (Basic) Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering required.• Minimum of 5 years of related experience required.Preferred Qualifications:• Master’s degree preferred.• Minimum of 10 years of related experience preferred.Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.International Considerations:Expatriate assignments will be considered.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:US-TX-Houston Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Engineering
