Construction Site Manager

Based at our North America corporate headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, Acciona Energy North America seeks a dynamic multi-task individual to manage the every day activities of the construction of wind farms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Responsible for the everyday activities at the wind farm during construction including road work, foundations, collection systems, erection, substation, interconnection and commissioning.
•Manage and coordinate all the activities from pre-construction to commissioning of the wind farm.
•Ensure that the contractor and subcontractors follow the required standards defined by Acciona Energy North America.
•Ensure the project schedule is followed according to plan.
•Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with all subcontractors involved in the construction of wind farm.
•Organization and tracking of all the quality control and logistic documents.
•Coordinate with Project Manager and implement solutions to the encountered problems during the construction.
•Interaction with property owners and public officials during wind farm construction.
•Reports to the Project Manager.

 

REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor degree in civil engineering, construction management or related discipline; Equivalent related work experience accepted
•Minimum of 3 years of construction supervisory experience; Wind Farm experience preferred
•Ability to spend 100% of time at the wind farms during the construction
•Demonstrated ability to manage several activities at once, to organize / prioritize work, to meet deadlines and to prepare reports
•Demonstrated leader in safety
•Experience in quality management / quality control processes
•Ability to manage human capital
•Ability to manage contractors and sub-contractors
•Ability to interact with the land owners, city, county and state officials and the general public
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
•Driver’s License required
