Coordinator Tax Policy & Analysis

We are currently recruiting for a Coordinator - Tax Policy & Analysis for our offices in either Green Bay, WI or Chicago, IL. In this position you will be responsible for assisting in the development of corporate tax policy and analysis including:  coordinating efforts of outside legal counsel with respect to the development of corporate tax policy and analysis; implementing policies and providing education on analyses developed to the Corporate Tax Services group.  You will participate in the oversight and review of income tax compliance, including returns and quarterly estimated payments.  This review will focus on the filings being prepared in accordance with existing law and regulation, as well as being prepared consistent with corporate tax policy.  In addition, you will assist in the management of all federal and state income tax audits including responding to information requests.   Lastly, you will perform economic analysis and modeling for various projects; assist with federal, state and international (i) planning strategies, (ii) transfer pricing, and (iii) acquisition, disposition and internal restructuring by modeling current and future tax attributes; interact with corporate business units to obtain required information necessary to properly analyze US federal tax consequences of acquisitions, dispositions, internal restructuring, and transfer pricing; and assist the Manager Tax Administration, Policy & Analysis as needed in various M&A projects.

 

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, advanced degree (MST, JD or LLM), as well as CPA highly preferred.  Candidates must also have a minimum of 5 years experience with Local, State, Federal and Foreign Corporate Income Taxation within a large company Tax Department, law firm, or "Big 4" public accounting firm.  A minimum of 5 years experience is needed in the area of Local, State, and Federal Partnership Taxation, along with prior experience working with complex partnerships where most parties are C Corps or large LLC's.  A minimum of 3 years experience in a Fortune 500 Tax Department, dealing with complex FAS 109 issues is needed.  Three plus years formal leadership experience, coaching & developing others is also needed in this position.
