Corrosion Technician

Organizational Statement Enbridge Energy Company, Inc, a leader in crude and natural gas transportation, gathering, and processing.Responsibilities The Corrosion Technician position is to safely and efficiently control external and internal corrosion on pipelines and facilities in the North Texas area. Accountabilities for a Corrosion Technician:* Compliance with all associated regulations (TRRC Pipeline Safety Rules and Regulations) which includes the necessary reporting and documentation.* Achieve safe operations of the pipelines and facilities.* Perform design, installation and maintenance on Cathodic Protection systems .* Perform periodic surveys for rectifiers, bonds, and annual pipe to soils .* Perform scheduling, maintenance, and treating for internal corrosion control.Working Conditions:* Works Monday thru Friday with occasional overtime.* Approximately 20% office time-vs-80 % outside type operation in all types of weather.* Available 24 hours per day for emergency situations.* Performs minor maintenance as necessary with medium to heavy lifting requirements.* Works with electricity and corrosion preventitive chemicals.* Travels many miles throughout north Texas.* Must be able to remain calm and focused during emergency situations.Qualifications * High School Education* 3 to 5 years experience in corrosion control* High integrity and self motivated* Good communication, problem solving and physical perceptive skills* Team playerEqual Employment Opportunity Enbridge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We thank all respondents for their interest in Enbridge.
