Summary/General Description of Job:
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the schedules associated with a variety of construction or maintenance projects/activities based on the Issue for Construction and Issue for Review packages.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
· Develops schedules to determine project sequences and lead times and update based on current/weekly progress.
· Determines the schedule of a variety of construction/maintenance processes, tool usage, and manpower requirements.
· Works with the project leaders to determine status and schedules of assigned projects.
· Prepares progress reports. Reviews capital project schedules and keeps project leaders informed.
· Consistently demonstrates skills in handling assigned activities, teamwork, communications, handling of client’s needs, and solving problems.
· Assists in controlling expenditures to allow projects or activities to remain within budget limitations.
· Prepares interim and completion project reports.
· Creates schedules off of a level 1(Definitive- +/-10%), 2 (Control (AFE) +/-15%) or 3 (Rough Order of Magnitude +/30%) estimate.
· Some travel may be required with this position.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
· High school graduation supplemented with some post secondary education in a field directly related to construction cost scheduling area.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference, or volume. Ability to apply concepts such as basic algebra and geometry.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Primavera experience.
Preferred:
· Three years of construction cost control experience directly related to the pipeline industry.
Light travel required.
Urine analysis required before hire.
