Customer Services Account Manager Job Family

Description:

This position is the primary contact for a portfolio of approximately 50 commercial/Industrial customers. Each of the customers in the account manager's portfolio generally accounts for more than $100, 000 of electric revenue to AEP. The manager strives for the highest levels of customer satisfaction in the delivery of electric service and account maintenance to each managed account. Exceptional customer service is the goal, and is sought in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Energy Delivery organization.
Coordinate new and expanded electric service requests.

Proactively review billing records, tariff applications, power factor and capacity for assigned accounts.

Respond to customer inquiries, including but not limited to, power quality, quality of service, high bills, etc.

Educate assigned customers on the effective and economical use of electric energy, as well as industry restructuring.

Negotiate contracts to ensure proper service and rate application for the customer and adequate return for the company.

Proactively interface with managed customers during power system interruptions.

Document customer activities in contact management tool.Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent education and/or experience.

Job title, salary grade and salary will be commensurate with related job experience and/or education.
