As necessary, existing data submittals will be evaluated for consistency with new results, new data submittals prepared, and existing data submittals revised. In addition to review and data and associated records packages (including scientific notebooks), staff are expected to support both process and system model analyses designed to assess impact of any resultant changes to the corrosion models supporting the License Application. Support may consist of documentation of results, review and checking of documents and data packages, and conduct of calculations, as directed by the corrosion program leads.Required SkillsThis position requires a Bachelors degree in science, engineering or mathematics and 5 years of related experience in the DOE's nuclear waste program; knowledge of model development, model validation, applicable QA requirements and NRC guidance on model development and validation; demonstrated ability to work with a diverse team of technical staff; good verbal and written communication skills.US Citizenship required.Prefer:Applied knowledge of risk assessment; ability to work both as part of a team and to perform work independently with little or no direction.
