Chevron Environmental Management is accepting online applications for the position of Decommissioning Engineer located in Bakersfield, California.Overview:Project manager responsible for decommissioning and remediating large industrial facilities such as gas plants, heater treaters and tanks.Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Demonstrate substantial competence in applying the laws, methods, and successful practices to decommission facilities and/or remediate impacted sites. Knowledgeable of business principles and project management; with demonstrated ability to apply practices to multiple sites (managing budget, net cost to CVX, project NPV, Decision Analysis, and cost estimating tools). Safety tenets are key principles for safe operations and the person filling the position delivers safe work practices, superior RCA skills, and brings safe works practices out of each work crew that deploys to the work. Required (Basic) Qualifications:• Bacholor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology,•Requires 10 years’ project management / construction management experience in gas plants, refineries or similar facilities.
