The Deputy Facility Manager-Wind will play a key role in assuring the facility operates with the highest safety, health and environmental standards while achieving maximum performance and profitability. The Deputy Facility Manager-Wind will be responsible for federal, state and local regulatory compliance, plant performance monitoring, training and operational support.
Accountabilities Include:Manage, direct, plan and coordinate all power plant operations and maintenance activities including maximizing plant profits and minimizing expenses. Maintain regulatory compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and associated permits; this includes all applicable safety, health and environmental regulations. Work with the Plant Manager to coordinate activities and interaction with scheduling, marketing and local utilities to ensure economic dispatch of facility is achieved. Implement, manage, update and maintain plant procedures, site policies, training programs, safety programs and work practices. Maintain a technical and maintenance library, which shall include maintenance and test procedures, instruction books, technical manuals and drawings for all plant equipment and systems. Negotiate and administer local third-party contracts and manage all on-site subcontractor activities. Develop and administer a warranty management program for all site equipment. Work with the Plant Manger to establish thorough inventories for spare part and materials necessary for plant maintenance. Oversee and administer site computer hardware/software systems, including the preventive and corrective maintenance system, PI, plant distributed control system, and PC network. Develop and implement processes and procedures to assure compliance with internal controls and quality support for customers and field personnel. Develop and implement training programs and maintains a consistent program within the company standards. Assure a positive working environment by maintaining discipline, morale, and employee relations. Monitor and instruct staff regarding safe work habits in all activities which includes cautioning others in working in a safe manner.
Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Deputy Facility Manager-Wind applicants must have:Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer. A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 1 year of experience in the wind or power generation industry. The willingness and ability to climb 80-meter steel towers on a regular basis to perform maintenance tasks. Proficient computer skills using MS Excel. Strong computer skills using MS Word. A valid drivers license with a clear driving record. The willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time in order to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:An Associates Degree or higher.Experience in high voltage maintenance and switching. Experience working with plant SCADA systems and computerized maintenance management systems.
