Designer I - Senior Designer

Transmission Engineering Group is looking for experienced substation relay protection and control designer to work with our Standards Department.Develop Relay Protection and Control design standards for transmission and distribution substation protection and control applications. Develop standard drawings (including schematics, panel drawings, logic diagrams, etc.) and material lists. Coordinate standardization activities with field, design teams and suppliers. Provide technical support for development of procurement and estimating tools and databases. Provide technical advice to projects engineering and construction teams. Lead wiring designers and graphic tachs in developing standard wiring diagrams. Check design work of others. Assist in training programs for design and construction groups.

 

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should have minimum 9 years of experience in relay protection and control design for electrical HV substation projects. (i) Associate degree in applied science (AAS) and minimum 9 years of experience in relay protection and control design for electrical HV substation projects or (ii) high school graduate with drafting courses and minimum eleven (11) years of experience in relay protection and control design for electrical HV substation projects Proficiency with MicroStation or ACad.
