Director, Supply Management

EnergyUSA Propane, Inc. is experiencing exciting growth, both internally and through acquisitions.  We are looking for an experienced, energetic Director of Supply Management to join our team in our corporate office in Taunton, MA

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in purchasing and delivery management for propane, petroleum and related products.  Reporting to the Vice-President, Internal Operations, this position will be responsible for the coordination of the purchase of Fuels in an effort to leverage our synergy potential and purchasing power.  The position will provide support and guidance to all EnergyUSA Propane, Inc. operations.

Essential Responsibilities:Procurement and management of distillates and propane inventory;Purchasing, monitoring and balancing of inventory levels for all divisions;Planning, implementation and follow-up of fuel-related activities;Develop and implement commodity price hedging strategies;Assist in the effort to achieve quantified targets through:Development, implementation and management of distillates and propane;Creation and completion of fuel-related agreements;Aid in identification of specific plant and operating unit efficiencies / savings, commodity inventory measurement, monitoring, verification and reporting;Training of supply / inventory competencies and skills to division managers;Guidance and assistance to division management;Corporate supplier market intelligence.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field;Minimum of five years experience in the management / purchase of fuels to include:  distillates, propane, etc.;Knowledge of energy financial market a plus;Experience in continuous tracking of energy market developments;Extensive knowledge of energy-related regulatory issues;Excellent skills in commercial management, supplier communication and negotiations;Additional training in procurement and energy-related topics helpful;Experience and proven track record in retail pricing of fuel inventory;Excellent cost-management skills;Excellent, listening, communication, and delegating skills.
