Director of Human Resources

Summary:

 

Responsible for developing, implementing and/or coordinating policies and programs for: employment/talent acquisition, orientation/onboarding, relocation (domestic & international), organization development and performance management (talent management) for Veolia Water North America; HR Director for headquarters in Indianapolis.

 

Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred (MBA or HR); labor relations  helpful 10+ years of broad based HR experience with generalist responsibility; management experience required Demonstrated ability to maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in collaborative environment Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Open-minded, adaptable, flexible, tolerance for ambiguity

 

Responsibilities:Manage talent acquisition process for headquarters location; track, report activity for Veolia Water North America.  This includes recruitment strategy, sourcing, new hire orientation, relocation/immigration, etc.Will also be responsible for organizational development, performance management, and succession planning.Ensure company compliance with all applicable state and federal laws (e.g., I-9 process, DOT Drug Testing, AAP, EEO-1 Report, State & Federal Employment Postings, FLSA)Manage domestic and global relocations for Veolia Water North America.Develop, recommend and implement HR policies and procedures; prepare and maintain employee handbook. Interface and liaison with Veolia Water North America HR vendors Will be responsible for employee relations, compensation and benefit administration, exit process, recruitment strategyParticipate in developing HR function goals, objectives, and systems; recommend necessary changes, new approaches, policies, and procedures for continual improvements in efficiencies and services performed. Promote and assist with employee communication.Collaborate with training and development staff; assist with program development and execution.Function as HR resource and support for field HR staff.

 Highly visible position with headquarters & Veolia Water North America management Potential back up to Vice President, Human Resources position Interface with other Veolia Divisions (Environmental Services, Transportation, and Energy) and Veolia Environmental parent company in France.
