Atlantic is a Day & Zimmermann company.TITLE: Director of Operations, Condenser DivisionPOSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for the successful execution of all contract obligations for assigned customers. Manage projects at one or more locations. This includes but is not limited to safety program implementation, administrative and operational program implementation, profitability, assurance that quality standards are communicated and adhered to, developing a site environment that embraces and promotes DZA core values in support of the DZA mission and strategy; interface as appropriate with customers to develop business and maintain relationships; create a learning environment for employeesESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Overall project safety program for Condenser Division and all subcontractors. Sponsors and manages safety program consistent with zero injury initiatives. Sponsor post injury management efforts and improve safety performance and reduce worker comp claims. 2. Field – to ensure projects are adequately staffed, assigning project managers, foremen, and mechanics as dictated by project schedule developed. Interfaces with administrative staff to coordinate job-related activities including transportation, lodging, and timely delivery of rentals, tooling and equipment, etc. Requires careful and detailed planning on a daily basis to ensure assignments are made according to each individual’s skill sets and are the most efficient in terms of cost and logistics without sacrificing quality/resources.3. Warehouse- ensure tooling and equipment is inspected, maintained, calibrated and certified; and inventory is sufficient to support upcoming work4. Attend pre-bid meetings and industry events as a representative of DZA and Condenser Division 5. Responsible for contract success and securing long term relationships with customer. Pursue additional and future sales opportunities with the customer or develop contacts from the customer.6. Responsible to maximize profitability aspects of the project and maintain all contact operations to highest standards of integrity.7. Provide the role model for leadership and action in all customer relationships, clearly demonstrating DZ values.8. Identifies clear roles and responsibilities of subordinates and holds them accountable to meet expectation.9. Implement and oversee employee development initiatives relative to personnel skill growth to meet company growth objectives, and actively sponsor the Employee Performance Plan and Appraisal Program.10. Responsible to implement DZA policies and procedures at each assigned site locations, ensure adherence to policies and initiate audits for compliance.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:1.
