ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible to the Drilling Manager / Project Drilling Manager for all Contractor HSEC issues within their operational campaign. Accountable for the implementation by Contractors, for whom he has single-point accountability, of the WWD HSEC Management Standards / Policies / FRC's throughout the Drilling Campaign. Accountable for the direct contract management of all Engineering, Drilling, Completion and associated Third Party Service of the Drilling Campaign. Plan, implement and close-out HSEC Audits of Contractors and their equipment. Extensive knowledge of WWD Drilling, Completion and Operational Policies WWD000. ROLES Supervise well site operations personnel. Manage well site operations. Ensure all drilling campaigns are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Establish operations plans, contingency plans and emergency response plans for all operations. Develop and implement campaign plan. Co-ordinate the drilling tendering and contracting process. Provide drilling operations support to the well program preparation. Co-ordinate and monitor all well site activities and logistics support. Identify, implement and monitor performance improvement initiatives. Liase with contractors, authorities and partners. Maintain effective operations cost control and invoice processing. Manage operations personnel performance assessment, training and development. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure all drilling campaigns are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and executed and performed in accordance with WWD100 HSEC Policies, WWD101 Fatal Risk Controls, BHP Billiton Corporate policies and current legislation in the area of operations. Ensure contractor's HSEC management and systems are clearly understood and effectively implemented. Develop a simple, concise and clearly understood HSEC Plan for each campaign. Periodically attend well site HSEC meetings. Lead the risk management process for drilling campaigns including attending and contributing to all formal and informal reviews of campaign, well and operations hazard assessments and HAZOPS. Ensure that contractor's have in place and are implementing effective change control management systems, staff induction, staff training and health systems. Manage the safety alert system by producing alerts stemming from BHP Billiton incidents as well as distributing industry alerts throughout BHP Billiton operations. Manage the follow-up arising from campaign and operation risk assessments, accident and incident investigations, SMS audits, rig and other equipment inspections by agreeing corrective actions with the responsible parties, documenting the action items and driving the close-out of issues. Knowledge of WWD HSEC Management System and provide suggestions for improvement based on using it. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

TRAINING: Engineering or Science Degree. GLP2 or equivalent management course. Supervisory skills. Negotiating skills. Advanced well control. Safety supervisors course. Risk management course.

EXPERIENCE: 10 plus years drilling, completions and workovers. Experience in several basins using several different rig types. At least 5 years rig site experience.
