We are currently looking for an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER based in our Portsmouth, NH offices.  The Electrical Engineer would be responsible for performing engineering evaluations and reviewing engineering designs/drawings generated by others associated with electrical equipment for both lab equipment and commercial plants, including calculations and computer modeling.  In addition, responsible for development of original designs, troubleshooting and repair of equipment and preparation of work documents for use by production personnel.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 Works under general supervision to accomplish assignments and tasks independently.  Coordinates own work with others involved in the same project.Designs electrical circuits.Works on both power circuits and control circuits to power equipment voltages of (120-480 volts).Develops specifications for material and order the necessary materials.Prepares drawings, reports, and manuals in a professional form suitable for archiving for documentation purposes and for distribution to customers.Analyzes steady state and transient response of circuits using the principles of circuit analysis and is familiar with and able to use modern computer based electrical simulation software.Directs and or performs troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning electrical components or circuits.Performs technical review of documents generated by outside sources to ensure accurate technical content in accordance with industry standards as well as company practices and designs.  These documents include, but are not limited to, power distribution arrangement and equipment specifications, electrical single line schematics, and electrical work packages.  The majority of these documents are associated with commercial installation at industrial sites.
