ENGINEER (Substation Design and Layout)

Tri-State is a Denver based progressive, non-profit, consumer owned wholesale supplier of electric power to 44 distribution cooperatives in CO, WY, NE and NM.  With over 1100 employees, Tri-State operates and maintains fossil fuel power plants with owned coal-fired capacity of 1826 megawatts, gas turbines with 526 megawatts of capacity, and over 5200 miles of high voltage transmission lines and 335 substations and switchyards.

 

Responsible for the engineering design and layout activities for the construction of HV substation facilities.

 BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related engineering discipline.2 1/2 to 8 years of progressive experience in engineering design and lay out, and construction management substation facilities through 345 kV.P.E. Registration in CO is preferred.
