EXPERT POWER SYSTEMS ENGINEER/RESEARCHER

Our client, new to the Raleigh area and ready to make their mark in the Triangle, is currently seeking experienced professionals with exceptional backgrounds in the research,design, and implementation of complex optimization, software and hardware systems. This is a chance to be a critical member of a world class, award winning team!! We have multiple positions available for Mid and Senior level Engineers/Researchers specializing in power systems. All positions are full time salaried positions offering full interview, sponsorship, and relocation expenses!!!SENIOR ENGINEER/RESEARCHER (2 positions available, mid and sr level) offering 70K-85K for the Mid-level position, and 90-140K for the senior level positionResponsibilities:  Responsible for design and development of algorithmic modules related to power system planning and operational tools. Design and implement power system planning and operational tool modules. Develop and improve algorithms used in product software. Lead a team of excellent researchers in power system analysis to develop future tools and packages. Participate and collaborate in planning and other power system study projects with services team. Minimum Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in design and development of power system analysis, planning and/or operational software including loadflow, dynamic stability and optimization packages. 3-6 years of experience as a senior level developer or researcher. Very good understanding of power system analysis problems and algorithms, especially optimization problems such as OPF, economic dispatch and unit commitment. A masters or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems background. Special Priority will be given to candidates with the following skills: Power utility experience in planning and/or operational roles.
