Position Description:Chevron Corporation is one of the world’s leading energy companies. Chevron North America Exploration and Production is accepting online applications for the position of Electrical Engineer located in Evanston, Wyoming.Overview:Electrical Engineer will be a part of a Mid-Continent Alaska Business Unit (MCABU) Facilities Engineering team that will manage/operate/optimize onshore surface facilities and plants. These include both Sour Natural Gas and CO2 plants with NGL recoveries. Engineers will report to TTL’s in their respective areas and be a member of an integrated Asset Team.Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:• Be an integral part of the plant operations team. • Actively participate and take ownership for the engineering associated with the plant’s operations. • Plan and complete engineering review of plants processes and equipment, including gas gathering and compression. • Work with Operating Supervisor and plant teams to understand process opportunities and gaps, plan and execute projects to optimize plant operations, energy consumption and production capabilities. • Responsible for trouble shooting processes and issues, proactive and preventative maintenance scheduling, turn around planning and execution, monitoring plant systems and operating parameters and working with operations to achieve facility goals and objectives. • Manage maintenance and capital plant projects and maintain a cost control for each project. • Act as a Project Manager for large plant expansion projects, including engineering, design and construction.• Engaged in Contractor Safety and Construction safety management. Required (Basic) Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering.• Frequent field trips and constant engagement with operations to scope, design and execute projects. • Experience with formal processes to assess safety and environmental risks, and then implementing solutions. • Experience in SID, MOC, PSSR and SWP. • Knowledge of applicable construction codes and regulations. • Experience in project development, execution, and capital management. • Demonstrates, personal commitment to IFO thru BBS, IIF, TIF and JSA processes.• Developing skills in electrical FE for onshore facilities including power distribution, energy management and electrical installations associated with oil, water, gas separation, gas dehydration, compression and measurement. • Hands on practical understanding of oilfield operations, optimization, debottlenecking and maintenance.Preferred Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Electrical Engineering.Relocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.This is a Safety Sensitive Position.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:US-WY-Evanston Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Engineering
