Respond to residential and commercial customer calls related to gas and electric appliance operating costs, prioritization of energy savings measures, structure heat loss, troubleshooting customer energy related bill inquiries, energy-related moisture, ventilation and specialty product questions as described in Electric and Gas Energy Efficiency Services Tariffs.  Commit to providing outstanding service to both internal and external customers. Represent PSE at various community events. Advisors for the hotline handle on average 300 customer requests through phone and email correspondence each day.  The Energy Advisor team of 9 are the connection between PSE customers and the programs supported by Energy Efficiency Services.

 

Essential FunctionsAnswer customer inquiries in regards to corporate energy efficiency programs and rebates Provide customers with information and answer questions regarding energy conservation.  Staff community and corporate outreach events such as trade/home shows, Shareholder Meetings, Energy Fairs, and educational workshops and trainings Promote Energy Efficiency programs as well as the Contractor Referral Service and Green Power.  Read and respond to customer letters, emails, and other miscellaneous correspondence Receive customer calls from Customer Service and other departments in PSE including back-up for Customer Service in storm situations Create and educate awareness of energy efficiency to all types of customers Problem identification and solution

Required Qualifications:Knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing applications.Experience working in customer service and community outreachAbility to multi-task and work under pressure Desire to work in team environment Excellent attendance and punctuality

 

Desired Qualifications:

 Knowledge of residential and commercial energy end-uses, residential structures characteristics, and heat loss theoryKnowledge of energy codes, standards, and regulationsLike to work in a fast paced environmentFlexible with work schedules (may work PSE customer efficiency events on weekends or evenings)Experience using PSE customer service applications such as CLXSales or marketing experience
