Engineering position providing support in the Transmission Reliability Engineering Circuit Calculations department. -Performs engineering calculations and analysis for either the transmission or distribution system. -Under direction of supervisor performs routine assignments such as creating, updating, and reviewing circuit calculation settings for protective devices. -Models distribution lines, transmission lines, substations & circuit impedances to simulate short circuit fault studies. -Provides technical support in the area of fault and protection analysis to other departments as necessary.-Perform other duties as requested or assigned.QualificationsThe knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following: F-ull knowledge of engineering theories and principles. -Strong leadership skills with proven ability to serve as team project lead.-Provide guidance to less experienced engineers.-Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).-Strong personal computer skills.-Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices.-In depth knowledge of various computer applications, with the ability to manipulate personal computer applications and perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs.-Equally effective working independently or in team environment.


Bachelors Degree - Engineering (preferred Electrical)

Working Conditions:
Office Work Environment - 76% - 100% of Time. Cold; Heat; Dust/Grease/Oil; Energized Wires; Fumes; Loud Noise; Outdoors - up to 25% of Time.

Certification and Other Qualifications:
PE license can be substituted for a 4-year engineering degree from an accredited institution.
