Reliability Engineer Job Responsibilities:



The Gas Reliability Engineering and Planning section is responsible for the monitoring of and the short and long range planning for the development and reinforcement of the National Grid U.S. gas system from the interstate natural gas pipeline supply points to the customer’s service lateral. This includes assistance to the operating departments regarding day-to-day, contingency and proposed operation of the gas system.



Project Engineer Job Responsibilities:



Perform engineering, design and project management functions to ensure the successful completion of large-scale projects, which will allow for the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to existing and future customers. Such projects include: transmission pipelines; distribution main; public works; peak-shaving (LNG / propane) facilities; regulator/take stations; bridge/railroad/water crossings and other special capital projects.



Integrity Engineer Job Responsibilities:



Develops and maintains system integrity, corrosion control and asset replacement engineering programs for gas transmission, distribution, production and storage facilities, and electric transmission and power generating facilities to achieve and sustain compliance with federal and state regulations.



Job Qualifications:



A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline.5 to 7 years of experience desired.Strong computer applications skills required.Strong knowledge of engineering design standards and applicable natural gas industry codes and regulations.Strong knowledge of natural gas distribution systems, which include transmission pipelines; distribution main; public works; regulator/take stations; peak-shaving (LNG / propane) facilities; bridge/railroad/water crossings and other special capital projects.Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
