Engineering Lighting Specialist

Lighting Retrofit Services is the leader in Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficient Lighting.  In business for over 17 years, and rapidly growing, we service numerous market segments:  commercial businesses, academia, municipalities and manufacturing.  We design/build energy efficient lighting systems, tying projects into utility company rebates and federal tax incentives.

 

Our Corporate office is located in Wilmington. MA, but our services span throughout the United States.

 

Our Business Development Department has an opening for an experienced Engineering Lighting Specialist.  The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of mechanical/electrical engineering experience with a passion for energy conservation.  You will assist customers in developing highly effective energy efficient lighting designs and identify effective fixture schedules and control schemes to promote reduction in lighting power densities.

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

·  Providing lighting design and technical support to the project development team.

·  Perform timely technical reviews for all lighting measures and project solutions for accuracy of energy savings calculations and cost estimates.

·  Calculate energy savings for building lighting designs and layouts.

·  Assist in managing outside vendors and equipment representatives.

·  Assist as needed with other technically related support needs.

·  Cad Drawings

·  Work as part of a team to bring energy efficiency planning and retrofit services to Customers.

·  Construct/update Excel spreadsheets as needed.

·  Photometric Modeling

 

Qualifications:

·  Bachelor of Science required; electrical engineering or related building science or technology field preferred with specialty in commercial lighting design, equipment and systems.

·  Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and strong customer focus.

·  Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with the ability to handle multiple, on-going projects simultaneously.

·  Excellent PC skills – Word/Excel

·  Ability to learn Photometeric software.

 

Position will be based out of Wilmington MA.  Some minor travel required.  We offer a competitive benefits package.
