The renewable energy industry is experiencing strong levels of growth in investment and capacity installations. In 2007 more than 5200 MW of new wind power generation capacity was installed in the US which was an increase of 45% over 2006 representing an investment of more than $9 Billion into the US Economy. Wind power is the leading choice for renewable energy capacity. The plans are for the US to have 25% of energy to be created from renewable sources by 2020. Renewable energy currently comprises 5-6% of the total USenergy capacity.

GH’s Due Diligence Group is expanding and has an immediate need for both a Senior Engineering Project Manager and an Engineer Level I Project Manager in its Peterborough NHoffice. Successful candidates with 10 + years consulting engineering and project management will be considered for the senior level position. Engineering candidates with 3 or more years of relevant experience will be considered for the Engineer Level I Project Manager position. Project Management experience in wind energy development and/or major power utility generation is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
At GH you will join the Due Diligence team of Project Managers and Independent Engineers world wide. As a Senior Project Manager in the US market, you’ll be the client’s primary point of contact for all verbal and written communication in the pre-award and implementation phases. Internally, you will be tasked with the coordination, writing, editing and timely delivery of due diligence reports to GH clients. They include financial institutions and owner/developers with significant financial interests. Senior Project Managers are responsible for the work flow, identifying and working with clients to mitigate risk items related to their projects. GH clients engage the due diligence group for the purpose of confirming and validating the design, development and construction process of their wind power investments.
Primary Requirements:
· Engineering education in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, atmospheric science, meteorology, or physics and demonstrated employment in engineering related enterprises.
· 10 + years experience for senior position and 3 + years experience for Level I position in primary project management responsibility of simultaneous high value, complex multi-disciplined consulting engineering and/or construction projects.
· Demonstrated success in translating highly technical issues into laymen’s terms verbally and in formal written consulting opinion reports.
· Demonstrated understanding and commercial background in design and heavy construction issues such as transportation logistics, machinery equipment installation, soils, foundations, concrete construction, and overall construction project management and validation.
· Successful background in grasping highly technical issues from diverse engineering disciplines in order to negotiate a consensus of engineering opinion(s) for client presentation.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Software Skill Requirements:MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPointMS Project or other project management software
Educational Requirement:
Bachelors’ degree from an accredited university. Degrees in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, or Physics are preferred.
Travel and Physical Requirements:Travel to client sites is required. Up to 25% of time total on annual basis.Capacity to climb 80 meter wind towers via a vertical ladder.
