Engineering Technician

SGC Engineering, LLC is a growing firm that provides services to private, commercial, industrial, utility, and municipal clients throughout New England in the areas of Civil Engineering, Survey Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Permitting, and Construction Management.  Our offices in Westbrook and Orono Maine, are looking for qualified candidates for the following positions in the Civil Engineering Division:

Engineering Technician:

The individual in this position would provide technical design, plan preparation, data assembly and analysis support to Project Engineers on both civil site development and electrical transmission and distribution projects in the areas of site planning and utility projects including power transmission and substations, roads, commercial and residential subdivisions, water and wastewater infrastructure and environmental permitting. We are seeking individuals who ideally would have an Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology with 4-8 years of experience in the engineering field.  All candidates should be proficient in the use of Autocad Land Development.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel is also required. Candidates must have strong organization and communication skills and the ability to balance the workload of several projects.
