About the Position

WISG currently has an immediate opportunity in New York City/Northeast region for a Construction Estimator.  The responsibilities for this position include:Quantity take offs and estimates for various type projects, requiring development of direct hire craft labor cost, material pricing and obtaining competitive subcontract pricingWork with site management to determine adequate staff, temporary facilities and construction equipment needsProvide change order pricing, attend pre bid meetings and perform site walk downsInterface with clients, owner engineering representatives and various subcontractorsWork with and develop relationships with subcontractors in order to meet project specific needsPerform lump sum estimates in the fossil power generation industry

 

Qualifications:

 Experience working with and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management, clients and subcontractorsAssociates degree in construction engineering or equivalent work experience estimating mechanical and structural projectsProficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel Excellent analytical skills
