Experienced Seismic Navigator - Offshore  Within the Fugro Group, Fugro-Geoteam AS has worldwide responsibility for Marine Seismic Data Acquisition. We acquire high-quality 2D, 3D and 4D seismic data operating a modern fleet of seismic vessels that are both efficient and economical whilst maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards. Our seismic vessels are equipped with onboard seismic processing facilities for online QC and data verification together with full onboard 2D and 3D pre-processing capability.The Seismic Operations Department is responsible for the operation of the seismic vessels. Due to the increased activity we are seeking to strengthen the organization both offshore and onshore and are now hiring Navigators to work aboard our 3D seismic vessels on 5 week rotations.Your main duties:Daily operation and maintenance of the integrated navigation system and its subsystem (DGPS, acoustics positioning); Operate the navigation post survey processing system; QA of navigation data;Assist other departments with relevant work.Preferred qualifications:Prior experience from Marine Seismic operationsBSc or equivalent in electronics or computer science Background in Geomatics and/or GeodesyGood knowledge of English. (The working language is English)We are looking for all levels of personnel: Chiefs, Shift Leaders and Operators. Chiefs and Shift Leaders must possess 3D multi streamer experience; while operators need at least 2D experience.Desirable skills:Relevant experience with SPECTRA, SPRINT, ORCA; Good knowledge of computer hardware and software; Good health and fitness required, the job is sometimes physically demanding. Must be able to obtain offshore medical certification Focus on quality and efficiency, with commitment to HSE Must be able to take any required vaccinations, as well as be eligible for visas in any country when required, and be willing to travel worldwide.Lack of formal education may be compensated for by relevant experience.
