Description:ResponsibilitiesWorking with a team of other business analysts, developers and project managers, this individual will:- Participate in inquiry, gathering, and documentation of business requirements from internal and external customers- Design, develop, and test Exstream Dialogue applications for formatting and printing bills, statements, and other correspondence- Mentor junior developers in optimal ways to engineer solutions in Exstream Dialogue and other software- Function as subject matter expert in Exstream Dialogue and other formatting applications such as AFPJazz, Red Titan Escape E- Function as subject matter expert in postal address sorting and validation software for PAVE/CASS- Participate in identifying business challenges and problems- Consider multiple approaches to solving problems and device the most cost effective solution- Support resolution of day to day exceptions to business processes- Work diligently to resolve issues and exceptions with a sense of urgency- Identify process areas and steps that require automation- Work with team members to design and build automation scripts- Strive to improve business processes to minimize cost of support- Modify system configuration to adopt to the growing needs of the business- Test software and system components and verify that they meet requirementsThis professional position is expected handle additional tasks as assigned by the manager.About the OpportunityExstream Dialogue Programmer Analyst in the CTO organization is involved in the requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment support of statement and correspondence components that form an integral part of billing and customer care solutions in regulated and deregulated utilities markets in United States and Canada.Qualifications:- In depth knowledge Exstream Dialogue and other volume formatting applications for complex document composition- Demonstrated abilities in area of statement and correspondence formatting- Working knowledge data modeling and SQL- Knowledge of design modeling tools and methodologies- Ability to create, document, and follow processes and procedures- Familiarity with source code version control and software configuration management- Ability to create, execute and troubleshoot scripts in Windows and UNIX, and mainframe environments, working knowledge of FTP, and Telnet- Ability to manage multiple tasks, while effectively focusing on priority issues- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and Word- Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and manipulating extract file formats such as XML documents, flat files, CSV files, MS Access databases- Strong analytical and organizational skills- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Ability to work independently without high degree of supervision- Ability to work as a team player- Ability to make decisions using critical reasoning- Experience dealing with high stress situations, ability to maintain calm and cool composure, think rationally, and solve problems in such situations - Attention to detail: He or she will live by the mantra of "the devil is in the details" and will take great pride in getting it right- Passion for customer satisfaction, internal and external- Sense of urgency: The successful candidate will possess a high energy level which allows them to react to situations quickly and decisively- The successful candidate will reject setbacks and commit to the thorough resolution of a problem from beginning to end- Minimum of 5 years experience in a billing and customer care environmentOptional Skills: - Prior experience with bill, statement, and correspondence design- Prior experience in payment processing environments- Exposure to an Application Service Provider business modelEducation:Bachelors degree in business administration, computer science, or related disciplineSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: Dallas, TXJob Number: 2927Company Profile:About UsAlliance Data (NYSE: ADS) is a leading provider of marketing, loyalty and transaction services, managing over 120 million consumer relationships for some of North America's most recognizable companies.
