Field Helper

National Grid is one of the world’s largest utilities, focused on delivering energy safely, reliably, efficiently and responsibly. We meet the needs of more than 3.4 million customers in the northeastern U.S. We are currently seeking individuals to fill temporary Field Helper positions for the period of May through October 2008 in Central New York. Candidates will be expected to perform tasks involving "flagging" or travel control on our line construction crews. It may also involve shoveling some dirt/stone or moving materials. The hourly rate is $15.965.

Job Qualifications: Must be able to work outdoors for extensive periods of time. Must also possess an aptitude for mechanical work and be able to perform minor manual labor-type duties. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Candidates must successfully complete a physical examination including drug screening and background investigation.
