Field Maintenance Supervisor

Position Description:
The Field Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing, training, supervising and providing leadersip to hourly maintenance personnel, and also ensures safety, health and environmental policies are followed. The person in this position provides positive leadership through effective communications, maintaining positive employee relations and ensuring employee accountability. Additional duties include:Seek continuous improvement to optimize quality and equipment peformance and reliabilityMaintain budgeted equipment availability by monitoring and controlling the Preventative Maintenance (PM) inspection program, checking and signing PM check sheets, maintaining equipment breakdown log, ensuring timely repair of breakdowns and maintaining high quality equipment maintenanceSolicit, develop and propose innovative maintenance practices which increase maintenance productivity and reduce equipment downtimeAssist superintendent/manager in maintaining and reducing material and labor costs by monitoring work team and department performanceComplete quarterly employee qualification assessments and provide quality feedback based on the assessment
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent required. BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred Five+ years related experience with two or more years in a supervisory capacityMust have strong demonstrated leadership skills, experience with safety, supervison, communication both written and verbal, problem solving, etc.
