Inc. is accepting online applications for the position of Fundamental Analyst located in Houston, TX through June 1, 2008.Overview:Global Supply and Trading is building its commercial analytical capability, and is seeking talented and motivated candidates to establish its new Market Research and Analytics department (MRA). Successful candidates will join the new team and create a high level of analytical capability to support upstream, downstream, and trading commercial activities. The Fundamental Analyst position contributes to this capability by researching and developing fundamental models and indicators for the markets that are important to Chevron’s supply and trading activities, and by developing and applying global energy models to evaluate major capital investments.Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:? Develops framework, methodologies, and tools for fundamental analysis for short term trading and system optimization, as well as for long term forecasting? Develops and applies global energy models to assist in developing long term price forecasts for major capital investments.? Provides in-depth fundamental market analysis to supply & trading teams? Keeps abreast of latest developments (Tools, Methods) for conducting fundamental analysis, and introduces best practices into the company? Works with Quantitative Analysts to integrate fundamental and quantitative elements into our tools, models, forecasts, and analyses.? Works closely with Data Analyst to identify fundamental data requirements and sources.? Provides competitor analysis & reporting.? Trains and mentors other analysts on the application of fundamental tools and methods.?
