POSITION CONCEPT
The Gas Control Analyst function has responsibility for monitoring, controlling, and coordinating the flow of natural gas throughout the distribution and/or pipeline system in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring the accurate volume and pressure of gas required for consumer demands.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monitors and maintains the SCADA system by performing station and screen additions, removals, and modifications.
2. Manages alarms, dispatches Field Technicians and determines the most appropriate course of action to resolve issues.
3. Compiles records for studies pertaining to system/industrial sendout, curtailment, and weather data.
4. Provides support to field and other company personnel by resolving gas control problems and providing control services during maintenance and testing functions.
5. Monitors pipeline inputs and tracks daily and monthly volumes for the various suppliers.
6. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

LEVEL ONE – GAS CONTROL ANALYST I
This is the entry-level role of the Gas Control function. This position works on routine and minimally complex problems and receives training and guidance from more experienced Gas Control team members.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
7. Assists with preparing reports and statistical studies for Gas Supply team to use in the allocation of gas supplies.
8. Performs Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) using Microstation and AutoCad as needed.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in natural gas control, delivery and/or supply required. A two-year technical degree may substitute for equivalent years of experience.

Must have knowledge of D.O.T. requirements relative to natural gas pipelines and have a good understanding of electrical and electronic principles, codes and regulations.
Solid mathematical ability and database programming skills. Good interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills to meet and/or exceed customer expectations. Must have the ability to analyze/resolve routine and minimally complex problems logically and in a timely manner. Ability to read and understand schematics.

This position will require weekend and after hours shifts. Varied shifts will include some 3:00 pm to midnight work and one weekend day per week.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
A two-year technical degree preferred. Additionally, CAD experience is a plus.

EDUCATION:
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
