Gas Mechanic Helper

Job Responsibilities:

Employment opportunities exist at National Grid. We are a major electricity and gas delivery company with one of the largest electricity transmission and distribution systems in the Northeast. We are presently seeking individuals to fill Gas Mechanic Helper (Scheduled) positions in the Utica and Watertown areas of New York. Candidates will be expected to assist higher classification Gas Mechanics in performing manual labor type of tasks associated with the construction and maintenance of the underground natural gas distribution system. The hourly rate is $19.91 per hour.

Job Qualifications:

Candidates must possess an aptitude for mechanical work and be capable of performing strenuous work. Previous gas distribution experience and a current CDL are desirable. Candidates must also undergo a physical examination including drug screening and background investigation and also pass a test to demonstrate physical and mechanical aptitude.
