We are seeking the right motivated individual to join our internationally educated team in the position of Senior Field Specialist.

 

 

Senior Field Specialist

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Senior Field Specialist is responsible for the installation, startup and commissioning of the control systems.  This position also requires programming of PLC and HMI/SCADA control systems.  Other responsibilities will also include the direction of subcontractors and junior personnel at the construction site. 

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·  Programming PLC and HMI/SCADA systems 

·  Performing and providing technical support for installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical control systems

·  Investigating, analyzing and correcting problems associated with the operation and control of electrical, electronic and instrument equipment

·  Calibrating, inspecting and certifying temperature, humidity, pressure and flow control and measurement equipment

·  Working with and directing contractors to install electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment 

·  Direct contact with customers for site construction management and project updates 

·  Develop and correct electrical schematics using Autocad

·  Maintaining technical and administrative records including prints and project reports

·  Troubleshooting control circuits for process control systems

·  Driving teamwork throughout the area of responsibility

·  Active involvement in safety awareness for personal safety of coworkers and subcontractors

·  Completing and maintaining required safety/regulatory training

·  Working with Development group for new technologies

·  Representing eps corp to customers and the public at large in a professional manner

·  Other tasks as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

Education

 

  ●Instrument Technician

  ●  Associates Degree in Applied Science in Industrial Instrumentation or equivalent

  ●  High School diploma, GED or equivalent

 

 

Required Experience

 

·  Five or more years direct experience programming and interpreting PLC programs, HMI/SCADA packages, electrical and instrument diagrams, schematics, flow sheets and other drawings

·  Five or more years of direct experience in PLC/DCS installation and maintenance

·  Knowledge of National Electrical Code

·  Diagnose equipment malfunctions and identify corrective actions

·  Perform minor equipment repairs

·  Experience with safety and environmental standards

 

 

Required Skills

 

·  Good verbal and writing skills

·  Ability to follow complex instructions in both verbal and written format

·  Capable and willing to complete the following tasks and responsibilities, with or without assistance:

o Climb ladders and stairs from 5 to 40 feet in height

o Raise and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds

o Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain

o Work outside in harsh weather conditions

o Work weekends and overtime as emergencies and schedules occur

·  Read and comprehend complex manuals

·  Multi-task and adapt quickly to changing priorities

·  Team oriented and possess strong problem solving skills
