HSE Environmental Manager

The Environmental Manager is responsible for:

-Providing environmental stewardship at the site and associated remote properties.

-Monitoring compliance of all Company personnel and all subcontractor personnel with the environmental regulations established for the site, by regulatory agencies.

-Providing environmental orientation to all personnel, visitors, and owner’s contractor’s who enter the site.

-Interpreting regulatory rules and conditions of permit

-Protecting the wetlands

-Establishing mitigation response plan for likely environmental incidents.

-In conjunction with Company’s HSE Manager, provide environmental Incident control, response, correction, communication, and post-incident reporting

-Data collection required for environmental reports

-Periodic inspection of environmental safeguards established at site

-Random inspections of all construction equipment for fluid leaks

-Generally work in conjunction with company’s HSE team to establish integrated "E" program

-Interfacing with Owner’s environmental officer.

-Interface with regulatory bodies during their inspections of site

-Environmental weekly, monthly, and annual reporting

The position is immediate and runs until June 2011.

OT will be a min of 10-hrs per week. (5-10’s).

Candidates should have some state certifications; some demonstrated training and experience, must be able to pass TWIC’s background credential check. Credible candidates must be physically fit in order to walk in the swamp, must not have fear of indigenous animal life, and must be computer savvy.
