PSE is currently looking for a Senior Budget Analyst (Job # 3019) to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team.  This role provides critical budget and forecast information, analysis and documentation for making strategic financial and resource allocation decisions.  While doing this, they will partner with and provide support to budget planners in providing Monthly, Quarterly, YTD, Actual vs LastYear and budget variance analysis.  They will evaluate and analyze financial results and proactively address issues and opportunities.  They will also work with management at all levels throughout PSE in developing realistic budgets.  The Senior Budget Analyst will work on cross-functional teams to develop forecast information and provide timely and accurate financial analyses; and develop accurate financial and statistical projections.  Other responsibilities include assisting in the implementation, testing and maintenance of Software applications to facilitate accurate and efficient reporting, planning and analysis processes as well as being utilized as a subject matter expert on SAP planning module which includes testing and implementing new/updated versions of software.

Requirements: 

 

· BA/MBA in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field (experienced considered)

 

· Strong skills in EXCEL, PowerPoint, WORD, OUTLOOK

 

· Ability to communicate (verbal or written) effectively with all levels within the organization

 

· Proven problem solving and analytical skills

 

 

 

Desired: 

 

· Experience in SAP, Cognos PowerPlay and Contributor

 

· Knowledge of FERC and Utility accounting procedures
