Human Resource Director

The Synergy Companies, with corporate headquarters in Hayward, California and branch offices in Fresno and Southern California’s Moreno Valley, is seeking a Human Resources Director for its progressive, rapidly growing, multi-services construction companies.  The HR Director will provide progressive HR support to Synergy Companies three divisions: Environmental Services, Energy Services, and Quality Verification Services. 

The ideal candidate will organize and mange a “start-up” Human Resources Department.  Candidates must have a minimum of five (3) to five (5) years of demonstrated “hands-on” knowledge, skills, and experience in wide range of human resources functions preferably in the construction environment.  Essential duties will include human resources development and organization, state and government regulations (labor law), policy writing, employee and labor relations, benefits, compensation, recruiting, and supervision of Human Resources personnel.  The HR Director will assist the hiring managers with the recruitment process, drive the employee review and feedback process, and plan towards contributing to developing a high performance organization. Candidates should also have working knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; Internet software and Human Resources systems.  This position will report directly to the CEO.  Competitive benefits and savings plans are available. 

 

Key Job Functions Include:
Develop, refine, and manage sustainable HR infrastructure to support organizational effectiveness and alignment with the Company's overall direction.
Work with the management team to continually evaluate and develop all employees through career planning, mentoring programs, and skill building.
Manage core performance management and feedback processes; develop manager capability on employing these processes and obtaining high level results.
Design job classifications, set wage levels, and execute strategies to attract the right talent.
Provide proactive guidance and counsel to managers and employees on HR related issues.
Collaborate with operational management to drive workforce planning and recruiting initiatives.
Establish timetables and follow through for employee reviews, feedback, and compensation changes.
Implement and maintain Companies policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws.
Manage Company benefit plans and safety programs.
