Human Resource Generalist

Summary:

This position provides general Human Resource professional support to the Regulated Operations area of the Company.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Participates in the implementation of core human resource processes i.e., workforce planning, employee development, performance management, pay and rewards, leadership talent identification & assessment and employee communications, including the programs and efforts summarized below:

1) Consulting with management on Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives;

2) Consulting with management on Leadership Identification and Assessments;

3) Supporting Workforce Management program initiatives and efforts;

4) Serving on process improvement and strategic initiatives and planning team(s) if or when requested; and

5) Serving as Compensation coordinator supporting client groups.

Consults with management regarding actions that support the accomplishment and the maintenance of a nondiscriminatory workplace.

Provides appropriate human resource policy and consistent practices consultation for management to enhance the decision making process, including management, supervisor and employee training.

Serves as a subject matter expert for management in employee relations and employment practices, including limited labor relations, negotiations and mediation responsibilities.

Initiates & participates in continuous improvement planning and implementation activities.

Assists, as necessary, in labor relations support.

Education:

Baccalaureate degree in Human Resource, Business or a related discipline from an accredited college or university preferred; Masters in Human Resources or MBA a plus.

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years experience in two or more of the following areas preferred:

Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits design and delivery

-Strategic Workforce Planning

-Business Process Reengineering

-Management/Organizational Consulting

-Workforce Staffing/Selection Process Implementation

-Workforce Diversity & Inclusion Compliance

-Employee Dispute Resolution

-Labor Relations Dispute Resolution

Additional Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, Certifications, and Licenses:

Must understand and live what it means to be operationally excellent, have a service mindset, and be strategically focused.

Ability to be productive while working independently, as well as contribute to team dynamics.

Understands customer/client's needs and has the ability to meet and exceed their expectations.

Physical Requirements:

Normal office environment

Must be able to travel (10%, mainly includes local Houston, Texas area)
