Position Description:Job Title: HR Director Location: California, Texas Chevron is looking for high potential HR professionals to become leaders in a wide range of Senior HR roles in our various operating companies. Examples of the types of opportunities currently available include:• Head of HR at a large refinery• HR Manager for small to medium sized operating company• Regional HR Manager - Upstream• HR strategy and planning roles in our Global Downstream organization.Qualifications:Primary Duties and Responsibilities• Provide counsel and business solutions on HR implications of business decisions.• Drive/facilitate the execution of long-term strategy and short-term tactics for talent management.• Participate in creating and deploying the HR vision and business plan and associated budget management.• Provide direct, coordination and oversight on delivery of a wide-range of HR products in business units/countries assigned and in partnership with other HR delivery partners (e.g., shared services, centers of expertise).• Facilitate organizational changes management efforts.• Manage a group of HR professionals including responsible for ongoing performance management, coaching, and development.Relevant Background/Education/Certifications• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10-15 years of progressive HR Management experience • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience• Masters degree with emphasis in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or related field preferred• Professional HR certification desired• Demonstrated Leadership skills, including proven success in building and leading a team of high performing HR professionals• Proven ability to manage a large HR organization• Demonstrated Strategic thinking, influencing, problem solving and decision making skills• Some positions require previous labor relations experience• Ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships• Ability to successfully manage change and deal with ambiguous situations• Ability to interact with all levels of management.Required Skills• Broad HR experience in a variety of HR disciplines, including compensation, organizational capability, HR processes, laws, talent management, employee relations, labor relations and staffing• Demonstrated change management skills• Demonstrated influencing skills with line management• Proven project management skills and project leadership capabilities• Experience in a high growth, changing environment• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills• Willing to work/live in a variety of locations including: California, Texas and possibly international locations.Relocation Options- Relocation may be considered within Chevron parametersIf you are selected for the position, Chevron employment will be contingent upon submission to and successful completion of a drug and alcohol screening, and background check.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:US-CA-San Ramon Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Human Resources
