Human Resources Manager

Continental Alloys & Services (www.contalloy.com) is a leading global materials management company focused in the distribution of pipe, tube, bar and the manufacturing of down-hole tools designed for global energy service groups (ESG) and well completion programs worldwide.  We curently have an opening for a Human Resources Manager in our Spring, TX location.

This position will manage the Human Resources function for the home office to include:  staffing/employment process, HR policy and policy interpretation, employee relations, benefits, job evaluation process, salary administration, new hire orientation and related training classes. 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

· Supports management in the staffing process to include recruitment, interviewing and selection, compensation, reference/background checks and new hire orientation.

· Develops and revises policies. Participates in the benefit renewal process and supports vendor relationships. Responds to management/employee questions regarding policies and benefits.

· Makes decisions and provides guidance on performance problems, informal/formal counseling and terminations.  Coordinates unemployment claims.  Conducts exit interviews.

· Assists managers in preparing job descriptions and coordinating job evaluations (salary level and range).

· Supports managers in annual performance evaluation process and salary increases.  Coordinates promotions and transfers.

· Conducts training as required (supervisory, EEO/sexual harassment, interviewing and selection, etc.)

 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred and five (5) years human resources or related experience OR high school diploma or equivalent and eight (8) human resources or related experience.  Human Resources or related experience includes staffing, employee relations, policy development and interpretation, counseling/terminations, compensation and benefits background.  Exposure to legal aspects of HR preferred.  Knowledge of company and/or oilfield services environment helpful.  PHR certification desired, but not required.
