It all starts here, with you.Position will be filled with appropriate classification depending on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.In this position you will install and maintain instruments and controls to facilitate safe, reliable, efficient and compliant operations of compressor stations, measurement systems, pipelines and related company facilities.Responsibilities:Install and calibrate electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical instruments and controls.Troubleshoot PLC based controllers, Human Machine Interface system, and control networksInspect and test facilities and equipment to identify malfunctions and service repair and maintenance needs; troubleshoot problems.Initiate repair and maintenance service; replace equipment/components.Direct and assist in the installation of wiring, tubing and piping to instruments and control.Train station personnel regarding proper meter indicator readings, basic maintenance procedures, etc.Interpret instrumentation and control device installation specifications; advise and assist in the design, programming, and operation of instrument and control systems.Troubleshoot and enhance automation systems during construction projects and in operation.Monitor and evaluate technology advancements.Assist in/train instrumentation and controls technician trainees.QualificationsTwo years directly related experience.Proven ability to maintain and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, electronic transmitters, RTD's, thermocouples, speed sensors, and other electronic process equipment.Knowledge of reciprocating and turbine engines, gas dehydration, measurement, environmental monitoring, compression, and support systems.Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and principles.Knowledge of the National Electric Code and National Bureau of Standards calibration and tolerance standards.Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.Ability to interpret installation specifications and wiring and component diagrams.Ability to define problems, collect accurate data, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to work independently; ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport.Ability to operate various types of diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.); ability to operator a personal computer.Must possess a valid driver's license and operate a company vehicleMust maintain DOT Operator Qualification.
Prefer High school grad.
Working Conditions:
May be subject to hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to solvents, lubricants, and other chemicals; subject to outside environmental conditions during all seasonsOn call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week (shared with the others in area)Operate with minimum supervisionSafety-sensitive position subject to random drug testing; pre-transfer drug test will be required for successful candidate not currently in a safety-sensitive position
